National Geographic Warm-up/ Photo manipulation and Ethics

2. This was my favorite picture because it just looks like a crazy photo the colors look really good and the picture is really clear. But the best part for me is the stars above the clouds and the lightning hitting the tornado. Also I like how its at night just because of the stars it sets the whole picture up

3. I would go to the University of Texas football stadium and take a birds eye view of the whole stadium and I would submit it to the photo contest.

                                Photo Manipulation and Ethics:

A.  Summarize the main points of the story in 1-4 sentences.
On April 1st photographer Menahem Kahana to a picture and it ended up being in the Jewish newspaper. And someone used Adobe photo shop removed the female misters and replaced them with two men to make a all male cabinet. But in Los Angeles times photographer got fired, because he combined elements of a British soldier and because of that it cost him his job.

B. Explain why you think this type of photo editing is unethical or acceptable.
I think photo editing is acceptable if you use your own picture but its unethical if you use someones photo without asking for permission to use the photo or photo edit the picture.

 A.  I think these two pictures are the most unethical because its making the u.s soldier look like hes pointing the gun and threatening the people.

B. I think the first picture is the most unethical because it doesn't look like the soldier is pointing the gun at the civilians and the guy with his son. when the photo shopped picture is just a picture of the soldier pointing the gun at the father and his son with the civilians in the back.
